They appear to be numbered from right to left, skipping the missing pin. Direction is relative to phone pin Direction 1 i/o charger / accessory power 2 in RS232 input (TTL) 3 - digital GND Raised pin * 4 out RS232 output (TTL) 5 out +5V output 6 in Test (+5V=test mode) 7 out Mute (1=In Call) 8 in Int/Ext headset (open=internal, 0=external) 9 - analog GND Raised pin * 10 in Accessory Sense (connect to GND to enable external audio) 11 in Audio 12 out Audio * Raised pin: on the accessory connector, these pins are higher than the others so that they electrically connect first.
